As an SAP customer, you are facing the difficult choice of whether to use the new Digital Access pricing model or stick to your old, negotiated version, if you have one. Only new customers do not have this choice - they must start directly with the new pricing model for Indirect Usage.
The use of Digital Access is identified via a program called "Passport", which is not yet available in all companies, and then displayed as a new engine value in the USMM. There are nine different types of documents that are subject to charge if they were created by non-SAP systems or third-party applications. However, updating or changing them, like any information output by SAP, is free of charge.

This White Paper serves to help you answer these and further questions and choose the right option. We will show you how to identify your current starting position and to use this information to take the right decision regarding the different licensing options.
